I wonder if one can make the mod allowing ALL SC1 and SC2 units on each side, that'll be less imba - although of course, new combinations could lead to new imba and balance team headaches (if they care to take this task at all), but worth a try.

It's kinda weird mixing videos of Artosis the Caster, man who seemingly knows almost everything about the Star Craft, and can nearly perfectly predict everything that the best players in the world can do, and Artosis the Player, salty, raging gamer, who makes same mistakes and blames everything except his lack of skills and still did not even learn how to control his emotions.

It is kinda silly honestly that Mutas can just fly over the turrets and it just tickles the mtuas. If it did the full 20 damage it would make more sense. hey really shoulda patched it.

That doesn't properly explain Protoss' lack of major wins. This isn't about the entire history of SC2, it's not about the last year or two, it's not a comparison of GOATS, and it isn't about this guy's playstyle versus that guy's playstyle. This is about the Legacy of the Void expansion which is what broke the balance against Protoss at the pro level. Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm had balance. Protoss won their share of the large tournaments in those releases. There is a clear dividing line between Protoss winning large championships at a reasonable rate and that being completely shut off with the release of Legacy of the Void. The last good year for Protoss in major championships was the last year of Heart of the Swarm. That's not a coincidence. You can talk about Serral and Maru as the GOATS, but you can also take away their major championships and you still have far more major championships for Terran (TY, Clem, Byun, Cure) and Zerg (Reynor, Dark, Solar, Rogue) than for Protoss (Hero won one, and I think Trap may have won one). The Mothership Core allowed Protoss to move their army out on the map while having okay defense at home. That was taken away with no proper replacement. I knew this when Legacy of the Void was released. I looked at the changes and thought "Protoss aren't going to be able to win anymore" and I was right. We are now on year 7 of Protoss being almost entirely shut out of major championships. The only explanation for such a thing is an imbalance against Protoss. Put the Mothership Core back in, or something equivalent (shield batteries are not), and you would immediately see Protoss winning their share of major championships again.

I swear Artosis is like a twitch defiler. You see him walk around and think nothing comes of it. Then you turn around and that defiler has plagued everything in the vicinity and thick dark swarms of Mario erotica are choking everything.

At the highest level I think Terran and Zerg are better. Zerg has mobility and crazy macro, and Terran has heavy firepower and zone control. Protoss has slight aoe and durability, but ina game where both sides are playing at the highest level, I think Protoss strengths are a lot less pronounced then the Zerg and especially terran ones. The flip side is that Zerg and terran are much more open to costly mistakes that can kneecap them early, where Protoss builds are generally safer and relatively straightforward. I think this is why Protoss may be easier to get into, and qualify with, but at the higher end of things they fall apart against Zerg and Terran in the late game.

LotV and BW is a mistake. It should be WoL and BW. 6 workers, an early game that exists, having to make decisions about upgrades and workers.

Everytime I hear him say how bad Terran is, I picture a person playing golf complaining about how his baseball bat doesnt hit as far. You have free option to pick anything to swing with, but keep taking the baseball bat.

I don't think the mod is really all that imbalanced in terms of overall gameplay, but various builds are probably unbeatable from each side depending on maps in certain matchups. For example, proxy oracle into full wall vs vultures would always put protoss ahead by a lot. There are a handful of these interactions that have already been showing up, but people are really not practiced with the mod yet.

I like all the comments sucking off the editor who's doing the bare minimum. It's almost like they wanna praise the video but complimenting Artosis is impossible for them.

First game was weird. It almost feels like floating on 3000 minerals and sitting on 101/101 for 4 minutes is not a solid winning strategy.

I would like to hear RT's thoughts on the mod after he gets a chance to finish the tournament. Something about the Broodwar Bio actually looks stronger in some ways. Could just be the power of TY.

The best Strat I've ever done with BW Tarren is just turtling and massing BCs with as much upgrades i can get.

How to play this mod folks?

im not an expert in neither of those games, but, i think this is a harassment problem, in sc1 you never harass your enemy (in the game) except maybe at the start. But in sc2 you harass AAAAAAAALWAYS cause the economy grows so fast and so exponentially that you need to kill workers. Not only that Brood terran has no economy enhancement (Mules, chrono, inyect) he always will lose in the economy war, and if he doesn't harass he will always lose. but also he lose so many workers all the time cause usually sc1 units have no way to counter harassment. Dragoons have no range (at the start), Queens fly but are a tier 3 unit, and marines move super slow. A Zerling/Zealot run by, a Banshee/liberator attack, or a hellion run by is impossible or very hard to counter.

It felt so good to see this end on a broodwar TvZ where Artosis takes the win.
